Integrated Pest Management Work Shop For Growers
Event Details
Date: | February 13, 2014 - March 6, 2014 |
---|---|
Address: | Lincoln, Ontario, Canada |
Event Description
OMAF and MRA, in conjunction with Flowers Canada (Ontario) and Vineland Research and Innovation Centre, is offering two one day IPM Workshops. The program of educating growers on the use of IPM has been very successful. So succcessful in fact, that the majority of Ontario's greenhouse floriculture industry is now using IPM and more specifically biological control as a primary strategy of their IPM programs.
The first workshop will be held on February 13th, and will focus on IPM and Biocontrol of Insects and Mites. The second workshop is on March 6th and will focus on IPM and Biocontrol of Diseases.
Splitting the workshop in this way will allow more time to expand the content and approach these topics at a more advanced level. Both days will be a little shorter than in previous years, starting at 9:00am and finishing at 3:30pm.
Cost is $75 a person for both workshops or $50 a person for one workshop.
