The Board of Directors of Flowers Canada (Ontario) Inc. (FCO) is pleased to announce that FCO will be working closely with OnTrace Agri-food Traceability to use its traceability solutions for the benefit of the floriculture industry in Ontario as part of their B-Fast B-Secure Project initiative. FCO will start by participating in the OnTrace Agri-food Premises Registry (OAPR) as it develops a sustainable traceability system for floriculture in Canada - starting with Ontario. 

Those FCO members who were in attendance at recent information session held by the MoE are aware that all agricultural operations will be inspected regarding compliance on these matters.  Read further for details on what you should be doing to comply and steps your association is taking.

The semi-annual TOGA Queen's Park Event was a success! Flowers Canada (Ontario) Inc. and the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers held a reception on May 9, 2011. This reception provided a time for growers and representatives of Ontario greenhouses to meet with influential decision makers of the province. Orchids and veggie bags were distributed to 54 Members of Provincial Parliament and 28 staff members of various other MPP's.

PickOntario and Ontario Greenhouse Floriculture products have recently been featured on CityLine TV and in the Toronto Star.
