Today Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency informed Flowers Canada Growers that two new plant growth regulators have been approved for import from the USA.  Paclobutrazol (bonzi/piccolo) and uniconazole (sumagic).

The GROU program allows growers to import products from the USA as long as they have been approved by PMRA and are identical to the Canadian equivalent.  A grower must apply, in advance, to PMRA using the application form at the following website.  Flowers Canada Growers has applied for several other floriculture products to be included in this program.  If you would like more information please visit the GROU website or contact Cary Gates if you have other products you would like considered under this program (Cary@fco.on.ca 1-800-698-0113  X228).
